Suffer in Silence

If it were the end of the world would you stay with me? If our friend and family were dead would we cry together? Huddled in a corner, surrounded by the bodies of the deceased. Shivering from; not cold, but fear.

The sun burned out and the world stopped spinning, we're the only two left. The end is near, and running out of air, we share one last kiss and choke as we both whisper the words "I love you."

Dying in each other's arms keeping your promise of forever.  Final tear rolls down your cheek as you close your beautiful bright blue eyes. I sit quietly waiting for death.

As I feel the darkness closing in I look up at you, knowing at least you died first and were spared the pain of a loved one being slowly and painfully killed as you suffer in silence.
